Rob Gives Back to Community, Builds School in Cambodia

Rob is giving back to the community by having an auction to build schools for teen girls in Cambodia.

Robert Pattinson has given young girls—and everyone else, for that matter—another reason to love him even more.


Here's how it came about: About a year ago, Pattinson donated a meet and greet with fans on the set of Breaking Dawn for a charity auction. Not only did a Chicago family win the coveted prize with a bid of $80,000, but the money raised by Pattz for GO Campaign is being used 100 percent to build a permanent home for PAGE (Program Advancing Girls Education), an organization helping to educate teen girls in Cambodia. PAGE currently houses 12 girls in a rented facility. Sadly, they've had to move several times over the last three years because of health and safety concerns. The new home will accommodate 20 girls. Run by Cambodian monks in Siem Reap, Cambodia, PAGE has also bought a piece of land large enough for its own vegetable garden to help feed the students. And now we're happy to report that Pattinson is helping GO Campaign again! He's donated a private screening of Breaking Dawn for 20 people that will take place in Los Angeles on Nov. 17, the night before the movie opens in theaters.


Host of the screening will also take home a Twilight gift bag that includes signed posters, DVDs and a replica of Bella's wedding ring, among many other goodies. Like last year, Pattinson's package is part of the auction that coincides with GO Campaign's GO GO Gala. Hosted by Ewan McGregor, the fourth annual event takes place Nov. 10 at the London Hotel in Los Angeles. The set visit was the highest bid ever for a GO Campaign auction.

Rob Pattinson has been voted the celebrity movie fans would most like as their teacher.

The Twilight heartthrob, who shot to super-stardom playing vampire Edward Cullen, topped the poll with 38 per cent.

The 23-year-old was thought most likely to teach English Literature, in the survey of 700 students.

Hollywood star Brad Pitt also featured in the poll, coming fourth with Drama as his specialist subject, while Angelina Jolie - who took the eighth spot - was thought most likely to teach Chemistry.

The poll was carried out by getpark.co.uk. The top 10 teachers list is:

Rob wins at the TCA!

Rob won two awards at the recent Teen Choice Awards. He got the award for Choice Hottie, and Drama Actor for Twilight.

His acceptance speech:

"Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it. I have to say that the hottest hottie, the hottest teens are the 'Twilight' fans. And thank you to Stephenie Meyer and the usuals."

Rob Pattinson sexiest man on planet

Heat Magazine has voted Rob as the sexiest man on the planet!!

The Twilight actor - who is originally from Barnes, London - was chosen by readers of Heat magazine, beating Hollywood heavyweights including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Zac Efron to the title.

The mag's editor Julian Linley said the actor "is obviously very easy on the eye, but a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in Twilight - strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women's fantasy boyfriend".

"Respect Me" campaign

An awesome Rob fansite, Let Me Sign, is starting a new campaign. The campaign is called "Respect Me", and is a shoutout to all to respect Rob Pattinson and to give him some space.

RESPECT ME is a campaign to make everyone RESPECT ROBERT PATTINSON.

Recently after the excess of Twilight, Rob has been stalked by the paparazzi everywhere he goes. A few days ago he was literally attacked by crazy, wild fans during the first day filming on the set of “Remember Me”. He didn’t need bodyguards before, but now because of crazy fans he HAS to have them. So, we are really really tired and mad with those girls, the media and fansites that have been publishing things about his PRIVATE life and/or stalking him everywhere!

We know that now he is under the spotlight and everyone wants to know what is he doing or where he is, but there are ways to do so properly, and we know so many girls in the world want to know him, be near him or take pictures with him, but there are ways too!, He is not an OBJECT, he is a human being that NEEDS to walk, breathe, WORK or even smoke in peace! It is so sad to watch videos of the disturbing things in NY with girls crowding to take pics with Rob anyhow! That’s so RUDE girls! That’s not being a REAL fan! See that Rob’s expression broke our hearts and almost made us cry! Really!

So, we decided to start this campaign against all that we think is not cool to Rob! He needs to be respected! You need to respect his private life!
