Brett Ratner Wants Robert Pattinson for "Youngblood"

Rob? in a comic book movie? That's an idea.

Apparently, Brett Ratner wants Rob for his film based on the 'Youngblood' comic book series.

"Definitely [Robert Pattinson] from 'Twilight,'" he told MTV News. "He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor. [Pattinson] could do anything. He just has that look. I picture him on Youngblood, for sure."

"Youngblood" chronicles the adventures of a government-funded team of superheroes who deal with supervillain-level danger and super-sized drama, all while constantly remaining in the public eye. The team was led by a former FBI agent and expert marksman codenamed "Shaft" — one of the focal points for the film and the most likely character for Pattinson to play.

Ratner added that the script is still being written. "My vision for it is: We're going to make a very edgy, cool film," he explained. "We're not soft-peddling it at all."

RPattz does not wash!

Reason? He admits he doesn't know how to use a washing machine!

“I can be quite geeky. I wear the same thing every day - I don't know how to use a washing machine."

So aside from Robert’s inability to pour Daz into a slot and press start, what other attractive credentials does R-Pattz bring to the eligible bachelor table? "I'm boring,” he says. Oh really? Do tell…

“I like reading, watching movies and playing the piano, and I'm pretty shy. Even when I was younger, I used to be shy. I used to be so shy that even shopping for clothes was a hassle.”

"I couldn't deal with picking up a piece of clothing and someone saying: 'Do you really like that?' In fact, I couldn't handle any shops apart from music shops. I knew what I was doing in them, so I was alright."

Any truth in this article? Not too sure...

Robert Pattinson Hit by Cab in New York! For real?

Radar Online reports:

The Twilight star got clipped by a cab around noon in front of the Strand Bookstore on Broadway and 12th Street. He was not hurt.

The 23-year-old London-born actor had been inside most of the morning filming scenes for his new movie Remember Me.

A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenaged girls when Rob was leaving the bookstore. Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Rob rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.

It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed at the fans: "You see what you did, you almost killed him!"

E! Online reports that Summit says:

"Robert Pattinson is fine. The reports are exaggerated, and the accident was not caused by fans. Production continues."

Hmm... So true, or so false?

'Twilight' Stars Talk About Robert Pattinson's Reaction To Fame

Rob's co-stars in New Moon discussed with MTV about Rob's reaction to the sudden fame he got from being Edward Cullen in Twilight.

"Rob cannot be in public and be static for more than five seconds without being mobbed," marveled Mike Welch, who plays Mike Newton. "If he's in a room and he looks down and he looks back up, [in that instant] everyone in the room will be staring at him. It's kind of ridiculous. [That level of fame] is literally Rob Pattinson and Barack Obama."

"It's so funny but it's true," agreed Christian Serratos, who plays Angela. "There's a love for Rob, which is completely understandable. But despite all that, he's still completely relaxed and completely laid-back. I don't know how it's possible, but he's really just chill."

As the days got closer to the release of "Twilight," there were signs that Pattinson's power over fans was reaching a Beatles-esque level. But when the "Twilight" cast recently went overseas for work on the sequel "New Moon," they saw that the insanity has become even wilder.

"Italy was intense," Ashley Greene marveled. "We literally all had two bodyguards and drivers, and we couldn't walk and had to be driven around the set. It was because there were thousands of girls that came in from everywhere in the world to see [Pattinson]. ... They would sleep over and stay the night outside our hotel gate. It was nuts."

"Every second of Rob's life is watched now," Kellan Lutz added, saying that Rob has had to adjust some habits to handle the increased scrutiny. "I'm sure he's careful for everything he's doing."

"I've talked to Rob about it, and he's just paranoid all the time now," Peter Facinelli revealed, admitting that the newfound fame does sometimes become difficult for his onscreen son. "Like, even to go down to the Starbucks, he's ducking behind cars and does a roll-flip to the coffee shop. Then he gets up, and there's nobody there — but then the one time that he doesn't do that, that's when there's like 10,000 paparazzi jumping out of the bushes."

"It's hard," agreed his onscreen wife, Elizabeth Reaser.

"Rob cracks me up every time I hang out with him," Lutz said. "He's just such a great, easygoing guy."

"[His fame] is always growing," Cam Gigandet added. "But Rob is still Rob — which is a good thing."

"He's the same guy that I met before he was world-famous, which is just a really laid-back, quirky, funny British dude," Welch grinned. "[But his notoriety] is crazy. I don't know how he does it. I'm glad I'm Mike, dude."
